Payment and subscription problems and how to resolve them.
Payment Failed
If a payment fails, your subscription enters a past due state. Tracking continues while Stripe retries the payment.
To fix:
- Go to Billing in CleanClicks
- Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe portal
- Update your payment method
- Stripe will retry the charge automatically
If all payment retries fail, your subscription may be suspended. Update your payment method to reactivate.
Can't Complete Checkout
If the Stripe checkout page won't load or payment won't process:
- Browser issue: Try a different browser or Incognito mode
- Ad blocker: Some ad blockers interfere with Stripe's checkout. Disable it temporarily.
- Card declined: Try a different payment method. Contact your bank if your card is being incorrectly declined.

I Was Charged More Than Expected
Extra charges may come from:
- Overages: You exceeded your plan's monthly session limit. Check the overage rate for your plan.
- Plan change: Upgrading mid-cycle incurs a prorated charge.
View your full invoice in Billing > Manage Billing to see the line-item breakdown.
I Want to Cancel
- Go to Billing
- Click Manage Billing
- Click Cancel subscription in the Stripe portal
- Your account stays active until the end of the billing period
After cancellation:
- Tracking stops at period end
- Configuration is retained for 30 days
- You can resubscribe anytime to pick up where you left off
I Canceled but Was Still Charged
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period, not immediately. If you canceled on the 5th and your period runs through the 28th, you'll have access (and won't be refunded for) the remaining time.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact helpdesk@cleanclicks.io with the invoice details.
Switching Between Monthly and Annual
- Go to Billing > Manage Billing (Stripe portal)
- Update your subscription's billing interval
- Annual billing saves 10%
I Need an Invoice for Accounting
All invoices are available in the Stripe billing portal:
- Go to Billing > Manage Billing
- Scroll to Invoice history
- Click any invoice to view or download a PDF
Invoices include your company name, plan details, and all charges.
Session Overages
If you're consistently exceeding your session limit:

To check your current usage, look at the dashboard home page. If overages are a regular occurrence, upgrading is usually more cost-effective.
