Traffic Analytics
Monitor real-time traffic quality with breakdowns by human vs. bot, geography, device, and source.
Traffic Analytics gives you real-time visibility into the quality of traffic hitting your website. See how much is human, how much is bot, where it's coming from, and what percentage is outside your target market.

KPI Cards
Five headline metrics at the top of the page:
Total Requests
The total number of tracked requests in the selected period. This is your raw traffic volume.
Human %
The percentage of traffic classified as legitimate human visitors. Higher is better. Most healthy sites see 70-90% human traffic.
Non-Human %
The percentage of traffic identified as bots, crawlers, or automated traffic. This is the traffic CleanClicks filters before it reaches your ad platforms.
Out-of-Market %
The percentage of human traffic coming from outside your target market. If you've set up geographic filtering (Configuration > Traffic Filters), this shows traffic from countries not in your allowlist.
The target market defaults to the United States. You can change this by configuring geo filters.
Ad-Blocker Bypass
The percentage of visitors using ad blockers whose data was still captured because it routed through your first-party subdomain. This is the direct value add of first-party tracking.
Daily Trend Chart
A line chart showing daily traffic volume over the selected period. Hover over any day to see the exact numbers.
Bot Breakdown Table (Full Access Only)
A breakdown of non-human traffic by category. See what types of bots are hitting your site:
- Search engine crawlers (Googlebot, Bingbot, etc.)
- SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, etc.)
- Monitoring and uptime checkers
- Scrapers and unknown bots
This helps you understand whether your bot traffic is benign (search crawlers) or problematic (scrapers, fraud bots).
Country Table (Full Access Only)
Traffic broken down by country. Shows:
- Country name
- Request count
- Bot percentage per country
- In-market highlighting — countries in your target market are highlighted so you can quickly spot out-of-market traffic
Useful for identifying unexpected traffic sources. If you're seeing a surge from a country you don't serve, it might be bot traffic or click fraud worth investigating.
Device Breakdown (Full Access Only)
Traffic categorized by device type:
- Desktop
- Mobile
- Tablet
- Other/Unknown
Each category shows total requests and bot percentage. High bot rates on a specific device type can indicate automated traffic masquerading as real users.
Using Traffic Analytics Effectively
Monitoring Data Quality
Check Traffic Analytics weekly. A sudden spike in non-human traffic could indicate:
- A new bot campaign targeting your site
- An SEO tool you recently authorized
- Click fraud on your ad campaigns
Validating Ad Spend
Compare your ad platform's reported clicks with CleanClicks' human traffic numbers. A large gap suggests you're paying for clicks that never resulted in real human visits.
Optimizing Filters
Use the country table and bot breakdown to refine your traffic filters. If a specific country or bot type keeps showing up, add it to your filters.
Before/After Comparison
After enabling CleanClicks on a domain, compare your ad platform conversion numbers with the previous period. The improvement in data accuracy is your ROI.
