FeaturesDomain Management

Domain Management

Add, verify, pause, and manage the domains CleanClicks tracks, each with its own configuration and connections.

The Domains page is your central hub for managing which websites CleanClicks tracks. Each domain gets its own configuration, connections, triggers, and API keys.

Accessing Domains

Go to Domains in the sidebar.

Domain Cards

Each domain appears as a card showing:

  • Domain name (e.g., yourdomain.com)
  • Status — Active, Pending Verification, or Paused
  • Actions — Pause, Resume, Delete

Adding a Domain

  1. Click Add Domain
  2. Enter the domain (bare domain, no https:// or www)
  3. Click Add

The domain starts in Pending Verification status. Complete the DNS setup (CNAME record) to activate it.

Domain Lifecycle

Added → Pending Verification → Active ↔ Paused

                               Deleted

Pending Verification

CNAME not yet detected. Tracking doesn't work. The platform checks periodically, or you can manually verify.

Active

DNS verified. Tracking is live. All configuration is editable.

Paused

You've manually paused tracking. Configuration becomes read-only. Traffic is not processed. Useful for seasonal businesses, temporary pauses, or during major site rebuilds.

To resume: click Resume on the domain card.

Deleted

Permanently removed. All associated configuration, connections, API keys, and data references are removed. This cannot be undone.

Multi-Domain Setup

If your plan supports multiple domains (Clarity: 3, Command: unlimited):

  • Each domain has completely independent configuration
  • Vendor credentials, triggers, and filters are set per domain
  • The domain picker appears on Configuration, Connections, and Traffic pages
  • API keys are scoped to individual domains

Common multi-domain scenarios:

  • Main site + blog on different domains
  • Multiple brand websites under one company
  • Agency managing client domains (consider Command plan)

DNS Verification

If your domain shows Pending Verification:

  1. Check the Domains page for the CNAME target
  2. Add the CNAME record in your DNS provider (see DNS Configuration)
  3. Click Verify or wait for automatic detection

The platform checks pending domains periodically. Most CNAME records propagate within minutes.
